Greenhouse gases cause the average temperatures to rise while trapping the heat into the atmosphere due to fossil fuels, deforestation, improper agriculture practices and increasing excessive consumption in society. According to the data of the United Nations World Meteorological Organization, average temperature on earth in the last decade has risen by 0.8 degrees. The World Meteorological Organization warns that earth’s temperature may increase 3 to 5 degrees by the end of this century with the current carbon dioxide emissions.

The most important result of global warming is the climate change! With the climate change, the weather will get warmer and there will be more droughts. Sea level will rise, oceans will be warmer. This will cause the end of some species in the oceans. The precipitation regime will change. Storms will get stronger. There will be less ice and snow, frozen soils will thaw. The life cycles of plants and animals will be affected and changed. There will be more forest fires.

Residential buildings where the most energy is consumed
Transportation vehicles consume 30% of the energy in the world and industrial buildings/facilities use 30%, too. Most energy is consumed in residential buildings with 40%. 15% of this energy consumed in residences is used for electrical energy and 85% for heating/cooling and hot water.
